There is no best way, but there are some recommendations that can enhance your self control in real life and/or RuneScape:

1. Buy a rare, create a level 3 (preferably named Tigres Jr), and either trade the rare to that account and keep a trade limit on it, so you can never bet it and then transfer it when they ban staking in 2024 OR (probably preferred) do 24, 48 or 72 hour loans to the level 3. You can essentially trade anyone on F2P the rare for 72 hours, but I prefer trading my other account.

2. Psychologically, our addictions, such as gambling can occur because of decreased amounts of neurotransmitters and pleasurable experiences. It has been tested that addictive gamblers naturally have lower amounts of serotonin, resulting in a decreased ability to control impulses (gambling). Pleasurable experiences will also encourage one to increase the behavior (positive reinforcement), so a release of dopamine can be sent to the brain. Norepinephrine is another key neurotransmitter that influences addiction. Gamblers tend to have a higher amount of norepinephrine released, causing them to feel a greater sensation of the 'adrenaline rush'. This is another pleasurable experience that our brain wants more of.
